A movement closer to Freedom

Norqain releases two new models with the Kenissi calibres

A movement closer to Freedom

Norqain releases two new models with the Kenissi calibres

When young family-owned Swiss watch manufacturer Norqain announced their next-level in independence with their two Kenissi-produced automatic-winding calibres earlier this year, they didn’t reveal the models in which the movements would be fitted. But that was then. This is now.

Bronze

“Bronze is a wonderful material”, Norqain CEO and founder Ben Küffer says. “It changes its look completely over time, all depending on weather and how you wear it.” Indeed bronze offers a unique quality. This explains why Norqain launches its first watch in this material, the Limited Edition Freedom 60 3-Hand and Freedom 60 GMT.
The new Freedom 60 is not only a looker in its new attire. It is also a tad smaller than its older siblings. This is certain to attract new fans to the watch brand.

“When we began to design these new Freedom models, we listened to our costumers. The 40.5 millimeter GMT and the 39 millimeter 3-Hand are the results of the survey. We are sure they will attract existing and as well as new Freedom fans.” Ben Küffer says.

Freedom seems to be a rather fitting name for this collection as Norqain is moving closer towards independence with the use of the Kenissi-produced calibres NN20/1 for the 3-Hand and the NN20/2 with their 70-hours power reserve (aka weekend-proof) power reserve – which were presented in February 2020.

We listened to our customers

Ben Küffer

“The Freedom collection is the perfect home for this launch as it symbolises our own freedom as an independent brand,” Küffer says. He emphasizes the freedom of the wearer, the “Norqainer” also experience when they set out on their own pursuits. The Norqainers are welcoming the two new bronze models, Freedom 60 3-Hand and Freedom 60 GMT each with an attractive cream-coloured or brown domed dial and soft Orlando strap with the distinct “Swiss mountain tops” stitchings.

Norqain Freedom

COSC-certified

The Norqainers are welcoming the two new bronze models, Freedom 60 3-Hand and Freedom 60 GMT. These watches feature an attractive cream-coloured or brown domed dial and soft Orlando strap with the distinct “Swiss mountain tops” stitchings. Norqain offers the same models in steel with anthracite (for the 3-hand) and black dial (for the GMT). The Freedom 60 3-Hand offers a diameter of 39 millimetres. It wears the COSC-certified automatic-winding Kenissi-produced calibre NN20/1 inside. The 40.5 millimeter GMT is fitted with the COSC-certified NN20/2 with “Jumping Hour” function. This makes it easy to adjust local time and change the date forward and backward.

Norqain fitted both new releases with a double anti-reflective box type sapphire crystal. The case back offers a look to the automatic movements with the Norqain logo on the rotor through the sapphire crystal glass The steel Freedom 60 GMT is priced at CHF 3,490 and the bronze version at CHF 3,790. The bronze version is limited to 300 pieces. You can have the 3-Hand versions on your wrist at CHF 2,720 for the steel and CHF 2,990 for the bronze version.
