IWC is launching an exciting new version of the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41, dedicated to the second Miami Formula One Grand Prix. No coincidence though that Lewis Hamilton had the first one on his wrist.

In the colorful and vibrant environment of Miami, host of the Miami Formula One Grand Prix on May 7, IWC is spicing up the party with a brand new Pilot’s Watch, reference IW388114. The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One(TM) Team, as the watch is called officially, is not only celebrating the second edition of the Miami GP but is of course a new example of the long-lasting relation between IWC and the Mercedes-AMG Formula One team, which started in 2013.

IWC Big Pilo 41

The new ref. 388114 is a stunner. Knowing the Big Pilot’s Chronograph, the calibre 69385 automatic movement ticks inside, comprising of 242 parts and with a healthy 46 hours of power reserve. The 41 mm case is crafted from grade 5 titanium, nothing new here as well. A great and trustworthy representative of IWC’s Pilot league, and one of the best pilot watches on the market today.

IW388114 has an eye-catching “Miami Pink” (which actually looks quite red..) rubber strap, that will accompany the Mercedes teams pink appearance in the upcoming race. It will also be delivered with a second, green rubber strap, and the EasX-CHANGE system will allow the owner to change colour and mood quickly.

It goes without saying that brand ambassador Lewis Hamilton was the first to put this new edition on his wrist. Of course the Miami Pink is the strap of choice, and let’s hope for some positive impact on this Sunday’s race..

Roger Dubuis Monovortex Split Seconds Chronograph

This spirit has resulted in some spectular pieces, and it is worth mentioning that the brand managed to develop the “big four” complications in just 10 years, totaling 23 different calibers. The tourbillon has become the signature complication of Roger Dubuis over the years but knowing the brand, they wouldn’t settle for a regular tourbillon. […]
