Christie’s has offered a first glimpse of the sale catalogue for their Important Watches auction to be held in June 10 in New York. Amongst some very interesting vintage Rolex and Patek pieces (including a ref. 6098 Prototype Pre-Explorer) two Richard Mille pieces stand out. Two pieces that live up to all the brands’ standards, being highly complicated, extravert and impressive. And out-of-this-worldish expensive, of course.
The RM56-02 AO Tourbillon Sapphire and a RM52-01 CA-FQ Tourbillon Skull tick a lot of boxes that will impress the even the seasoned Richard Mille collector. Let’s dive into some detail.

The estimate of US$3,000,000 to $4,000,000 is steep, even for Richard Mille standards. With only two weeks to go for saving up I think I’ll have to pass..
